A Question From 2019

Happy Monday!

This past weekend I had the privilege to coach a great group of people at our April Immersion Experience weekend!

My favorite part of the Immersion is watching the mini transformations that occur within each person. It’s amazing what can happen when people get away from their daily stressors and get intentional.

Life moves so fast, if you don’t take time to get intentional about what you’re working towards (like your 2018 New Year’s Resolutions–remember those??), time will just continue to move on and before long another year will have passed you by.

We’re almost 5 months into 2018 and it’s the perfect time to check in with how you are doing with your New Years resolutions.

A Question From 2019

Let’s imagine for a minute that it’s January 2019. What has to happen over the next 7 months for you to look back and be excited about the resolutions that you were able to accomplish?

What has worked really well for you over the past four months?

What hasn’t? Side note here; it’s okay if you’ve been off/on or even lost all motivation on your New Year’s resolution. Its barely May—you still have plenty of time to achieve some truly significant goals!

  • What needs to change?
  • What do should you do daily?
  • What are some metrics you can use to check in on to make sure you’re on the right track to achieving your New Year’s resolutions?

Two Things to Remember

  1. YOU ARE NEVER STUCK! While sometimes you may feel like you’re not making any progress, know it’s part of the journey. Channel the energy away from frustration and into self-reflection by answering the previous 3 questions.
  2. Every worthwhile journey is going to have ups/downs, benefits/drawbacks – nothing ever is a cake walk. Expect challenges so you can be ready for them when they show up.
