Finding Your Fearless Warrior

Happy Monday!

The past few weeks I’ve been in a bit of a funk. Not feeling like the fearless warrior I strive to be. I couldn’t really put my finger on it until the last few days, after I spent some time meditating and journaling.

Basically, there’s been a goal of mine that I just kept putting off. Instead of admitting I was procrastinating, I rationalized putting it off by thinking, “I need a plan first.” I’d make a plan, then I’d hit an obstacle and convince myself I need to figure sort out that obstacle first. Obstacles will always be on the way—and I know that–but I kept letting myself be sidetracked by the obstacles I encountered instead of staying focused on the goal.

This cycle continued a few weeks and subconsciously threw me into a funk. Basically, I was not making progress by being fearful. And that’s not how I want to live or act. Inaction (lack of progress) snowballs when you don’t follow through with something you value (like my particular goal) That inaction further leads to feelings of dissatisfaction, resentment, & worse. Then you start to self-judge the fact that you haven’t taken action and feel bad about that.  And it all packs into a big avalanche of self pity, piling on you and debilitating you.

Yet the answer was and always is to be open and to express your uniqueness. Self-expression is a blanket term that can mean a lot of things but I believe it means taking action towards how you want to think, talk, and act so that you can live a fulfilling life and pursue the things that fill you up. Self- expression means being a fearless warrior—facing your fears and going forward.

I don’t pretend to be a guru but through my own self discovery I’ve discovered several tools that have transformed my life and the lives of so many of those I’ve worked with closely.

And if YOU feel like you’re in a funk or have been getting nowhere on the hamster wheel, the Weekend Warrior Retreat 5.0 is an absolute must for you! It’s 10/5-10/7 in Jupiter, Florida. There’s a link just below, click it and check it out. Reply back if you have any questions.
