As you know, I’m currently dieting for a photo shoot. One of the reasons why I do this photo shoot is to test/experiment better ways to eat and drop body fat, build muscle. Let’s face it, we know chicken, greek yogurt and raw nuts are healthy, but they’re boring after a while. Right?
Eating the same things over and over (even for a personal trainer) gets old. When dieting, I set certain rules and force myself to get creative.
Here’s a snack that you need to try before you judge: Brussels Sprouts with Organic EVOO. Oh yea baby!
You’ll get protein, fiber, healthy fats and under 100 calories!
I buy frozen brussels sprouts, put them in a pot with a 1/2 cup of water and let them steam on low heat for 5-10 minutes.
Once done, drain the water and drizzle Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil – that’s it!
Now, if you are currently spewing in your mouth – relax. Go out today, buy some and try this recipe. If you don;t like it, I’ll be shocked!
Some other ideas instead of EVOO; vinegar, coconut oil and lemon juice.
