“I had lost, gained and lost about 70 lbs since my kids were born. I was starting to lose weight again when I found myself in congestive heart failure early in 2015 due to a congenital defect in a heart valve. In the summer of 2015, I had my aortic valve replaced. About a year later, I was unhappy with my state of fitness and was looking to get in the best shape of my life and not squander this second chance at life. I had a friend who went to the South Windsor melt fat loss gym and I was intrigued by the 30 minute workout. I started the 20 lb weight loss challenge in January 2017.
